What Google looks at
Your Google listing
The free profile that puts you on the map. Most of the ones I look at are half filled in, with old hours and categories that don't match what the business really does. It's usually the quickest thing to fix.
Reviews
Google looks at how many you've got and how recent they are. I'll set up something simple so asking for one isn't a job you have to remember after every visit.
What your website says
Google can't guess what you do. If your site never plainly says you're a plumber in Kingscliff, it's left working that out on its own. I fix the wording and the bits underneath the page you never see.
Everywhere else you're listed
Your name, address and phone number need to match wherever they turn up. When they don't, Google gets less sure about you, and so do the AI tools.
How long local SEO takes
You'll start seeing results in weeks
In most niches hardly anyone is doing search and AI properly. Plenty of businesses lean on ads instead, or on having been around long enough that people know the name. Put real work into this side of it and you can make a serious dent.
Movement usually starts within a few weeks. The bigger gains build over the months after that, and keep building as long as you stay at it. I'll have a look at where you're up to and give you a straight answer rather than a guess.
Signs your SEO is working
You'll notice it in the phone before you notice it in a report. Calls from people who found you rather than people you chased, and enquiries from suburbs you weren't expecting.
I'll send a regular update in plain English showing where you're ranking, the clicks you're getting and the visits to your website. The phone is the part only you can see, so tell me when it picks up.
What it costs
Packages from $199 a week
Month to month, and the budget can move whenever you need it to. If you're working to a set figure, say so and we'll start with whatever matters most.

Questions about local SEO
How long does local SEO take?
You'll usually start seeing movement within a few weeks, and the bigger gains build over the months after that. Hardly anyone in most niches is doing this properly, so doing it well goes a long way. I'll look at where you're up to before you commit and tell you what's realistic.
What's the difference between the map and the normal Google results?
The map is the box near the top with three businesses listed beside it. The normal results are the blue links underneath. For local work, the box is where most of the calls come from.
Do I need a website for local SEO to work?
Not strictly. You can get onto the map with a Google listing alone, and for some trades that's most of the job done. A website helps a lot though, and if you haven't got one I can build a simple one.
Could I do the local SEO myself?
Honestly, yes. Filling in your Google listing properly and asking customers for reviews will get you a fair way, and it costs nothing but time. Most people never get around to it, which is where I come in.
