Whatever we end up doing gets built around your goals, your budget and how much you want to invest. Not sure where to start? Here's what the local SEO work involves.
Tell me your budgetWe'll talk through your goals and I'll put together something that fits.
Not part of the weekly fee
What you pay Google and Facebook
How ads are billed depends on the setup, and it gets agreed in writing before anything runs. Whatever the arrangement, you set the budget and you'll know what it is before you commit a cent.
Websites
Websites are usually a one-off rather than part of a weekly package. A simple one for a local business doesn't have to cost much. Ask me and I'll give you a number, and I'm happy to show you a few I've done.
Your accounts stay in your name
Your Google listing, your website, your domain and any ad accounts are set up under your own logins, not mine. If we stop working together you keep the lot, still running.
Questions about SEO, AI search and ads
Do you need access to my website?
Usually yes at some point, because a fair bit of the work is the wording and structure of your pages. If you'd rather not hand over logins I can send you the changes to paste in, or deal with whoever built it. Tell me which you'd prefer.
Do you need access to my Google account?
For your Business Profile, yes. I get added as a manager on the listing, so you stay the owner and can remove me whenever you like. I never need your Google password.
Will you change how my website looks?
Not unless you want me to. Most of what I change is wording, headings and the parts underneath the page nobody sees. If a layout change would genuinely help, I'll show you before touching anything.
Which AI tools are you actually working on?
Mostly ChatGPT and Google's AI answers, because that's where the volume is. Perplexity and Copilot lean on similar signals, so the same work usually covers them too. None of them have a dashboard you can log into and correct, which is why it comes down to reviews, details that match everywhere, and pages that answer real questions.
Who writes the words on any new pages?
I write them, then you check them. You know your trade and your customers better than I do, so if something reads wrong or isn't how you'd say it, tell me and I'll change it.
What happens in the first month?
Your Google listing gets set up properly, your details get made consistent everywhere they appear, and I go through the pages you already have. That's where most of the early movement comes from, and it keeps paying after that.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. Month to month, and you can stop whenever you like.
Can you work to my budget?
Yes. Tell me what you've got to work with and I'll tell you what I can do with it. Usually we start with a few searches and one area, then add more services and areas as it pays for itself.
How does the ad budget work?
Your ad budget is separate from what you pay me. Exactly how that's arranged depends on the setup, and we'll agree it before anything runs.
How do I know the work is paying off?
You'll get a regular update in plain English: where you're ranking, how many people are clicking through and how many are visiting your website. If we're running ads, how those are going too. I can't see your phone ringing, so that part you'll notice before I do.
